Art and Music Writing and Criticism
South Florida is full of wonderful opportunities to see great art from established artists--and emerging ones. For an art connoisseur such as myself, it's heaven. I get a chance to review exhibits of national and/or international artists--and also a chance to pontificate about art everywhere, if you check out my blog here on my website--April on Art and Music. On this page you'll find two of the article I've written for the PalmBeachArts Paper, which publishes a special section in the Coastal Star and is also published online. One review is on a powerful installation exhibition at the Cornell Museum last summer; the other by a stunning exhibit of colorful contemporary ceramic statuary exhibited at the Boca Museum last year. The pieces were inspired by a local collection of that eccentric potter's George Ohr's work on display in the first gallery. |
