April Klimley, Principal

April Klimley founded Klimley Communications in the late 1980s after a successful career as a foreign correspondent and corporate executive in financial public relations in New York City. In that city, she handled media relations for Citibank and Adams and Rinehart (a PR firm) before becoming vice president of worldwide communications for Chemical Bank, the first woman to run the communications function at a money center bank. Over the years April has served a wide variety of clients helping them shape and write effective communications vehicles both in print and digital format. The clients she has served have ranged from JPMorgan (now JPMorgan/Chase) to Goldman Sachs and publications such as Fortune and Black Enterprise magazine.  Today April writes for a number of  lifestyle and arts publications in South Florida, handles media relations for several south Florida clients, and teaches English composition at Palm Beach State College. She is also an active member of the Gold Coast PR Council which is based where she lives in Delray Beach, Florida.
